Our story

Rooted in Lyme.

Guy Nichols came to Lyme from Vermont to clear timber after the 1938 hurricane. When the downed trees had been cleared, Guy stayed, and started Nichols Hardware.

The Nichols family has been harvesting Christmas trees in Lyme for more than half a century. Throughout the year we’re busy producing our Pure and Infused Maple Syrup and planting and caring for our beautiful Christmas trees.

Our Fraser fir was named Grand Champion at the 2019 Eastern States Expo, and our wreaths have brought home First Premium ribbons from the Exposition too.

Nichols maple syrup.

We take our Pure Maple Syrup and add natural fruit, spices or herbs to create an incredible infusion. Not just fabulous on pancakes and waffles — delicious in tea, coffee, smoothies, sparkling water and yogurt, great on ice cream, or as a marinade.
